Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within the clinic while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will assist the dentist during various procedures and facilitate a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Take and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information from patients.
• Manage medical records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Provide support in various dental specialties including general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and more.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to dental practices is beneficial.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques is essential.
• Experience in pediatrics or prosthodontics is a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
