What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Nurse position at Greenbriar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?
Greenbriar Nursing Center is looking for a QA nurse to join our team! The primary role of a QA nurse is to coordinate and oversee quality assurance and compliance functions within our community.
Our ideal candidate would possess:
- Valid MS Nursing License (LPN or RN)
- 2 years of experience in Long-term Care and Skilled Nursing setting (required)
- Understanding of Federal/State LTC regulations.
Responsibilities
- Identifies opportunities for facility improvement through collection and analysis of data, observation of operations and consultation with leadership, staff, residents, and families.
- Monitor compliance with current laws, process improvements, and implementation of clinical best practices.
- Assist in setting goals and standards for community.
- Organize and facilitate the quality committee and its meetings by guiding discussion around performance measures and prioritizing and developing quality efforts.
- Coach staff, management, and practitioners on how to problem solve including how to analyze causes and contributing factors. Identify resources and tools to support improvement efforts.
- Promote physical and emotional well-being of residents, ensuring coordination of quality care from pre-admission through discharge.
- Coordinate quality care by collaborating with all interdisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate with administration and department directors to ensure Quality Assurance Performance Improvement efforts are integrated into all operations and departments.
