We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our team at the Greenbriar Nursing Center.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. As an STNA, you will assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.
You will participate in care plan meetings and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Help residents with mobility, including turning, positioning, transferring, and ambulating using assistive devices as needed.
- Feed residents or assist with meals, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration, and monitor food and fluid intake.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to the nursing staff.
Vital Signs and Monitoring
- Measure and record residents' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist with monitoring residents' skin conditions, reporting any signs of skin breakdown or pressure sores.
- Assist with weight checks, intake and output monitoring, and other health-related measurements.
Documentation
- Accurately document care provided and residents' responses to care in the facility's electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts.
- Maintain records of residents' food and fluid intake, toileting habits, and other observations as required.
- Report any concerns or incidents to the supervising nurse and complete required documentation.
Salary and Benefits
