Summary
The QC Document Control Specialist ensures that all quality assurance documents and records used in the process of manufacturing of railcars are stored, managed, and tracked in accordance to company policy and all state/federal requirements when applicable.
Duties And Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Creates, stores, tracks, and manages quality assurance forms
- Updates procedures and policies
- Performs Quality Process audits
- Follows up on quality corrective actions, root causes, and issues found during process audits
- Creates and issues billing repair cards
- Completes data entry for training records and defects found by customer inspector
Qualifications
The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years experience in railcar manufacturing
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SmartSheet
- Ability to keep accurate records in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accurately demonstrate visual inspection
- Ability to follow written procedures
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year’s experience in quality assurance, welding, or coatings
