Greenburgh Academy, located in Yonkers, NY, is part of the Greenburgh-North Castle UFSD. We are seeking candidates for a School Monitor position to start ASAP.
Greenburgh Academy works with special education students that have clinically complex needs in a supportive, therapeutic and structured environment. We are a public High School that serves students with IEPs from all over New York State. School Monitor responsibilities include: maintaining safety in the school building, managing the front desk, assist with organizing and supervising student transportation and student data reporting.
School Monitors will be trained in TCI to ensure a therapeutic approach to our students.
- Hours 7:30-3:30 M-F
- Skill and Experience in Behavior Support Techniques.
- TCI Certification preferred but training is available.
- Excellent Attendance and Punctuality History required.
- Comfort in working with students who are non-verbal and exhibit challenging behaviors
- Comfort being embedded and active in Classroom/Instructional environments.
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
- Physical Fitness a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
