What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Assistant position at Greenbush Logistics?
Greenbush Logistics is seeking to hire a Transportation Assistant. The Transportation Assistant will perform administrative functions, assist in dispatch, assist in coordinating shipping, enter purchase orders, and more. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties :
- Perform administrative functions to include but not limited to, insuring proper paperwork flow, scanning documents, collecting trip envelopes, coordinating shipping documents, ordering of supplies and entering purchase orders.
- Assist in daily dispatch.
- Assist / coordinate in scheduling DOT exams including physicals and drug screens.
- Serve as a back up to the Terminal Manager.
- Enforce worker compliance with established safety rules and regulations and measures to protect safety of employees and customers and security of merchandise, property, and equipment.
- Help monitor ELDs through Transflo and assist drivers with any problems associated with the ELD.
