Greenbush – The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a remote School Improvement Services Administrator.

Job Summary: The School Improvement Services Administrator will work with individuals and/or departments and school districts to develop professional development plans and/or facilitate, coordinate, and deliver professional learning activities to support the continuous improvement of schools and districts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement professional growth plans for individuals, schools, and/or districts.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver effective professional development.
- Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing job skills and performance.
- Kansas Building Administrator or District Administrator License.
- Previous experience in building and/or district administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders in multiple school districts.
- Ability to collaborate with other members of the School Improvement Services Team in developing services and programming for SIS member districts.
- Ability to facilitate and help school districts complete building-based action plans, needs assessments, surveys, classroom observations and walkthroughs, and other accreditation activities.
- Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing project-based and personalized learning.
- Knowledge and experience working with Kansas State BOE Outcomes, the KESA process, New Teacher Mentoring, and/or School Redesign.
- Knowledge and experience in navigating changes in building and district initiatives.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively and constructively with cohort districts and service center staff.
- Ability to work with cohort districts on strategies that improve instruction and student achievement.
- Ability to serve as a resource to cohort administrators and other staff members for matters related to curriculum, instruction, and achievement, as well as help coordinate support utilizing other agencies, departments, and business partners.
- Ability to report on the status of cohort programs and services at the request of cohort superintendents, the Director of School Improvement, or the Executive Director.
- Ability to provide professional development for administrators and teachers as requested by the cohort superintendents, the Director of School Improvement, or the Executive Director.
- Ability to work with business partners, service center staff, and consultants to provide requested services to districts.
- Ability to ensure all developed programs and activities conform to cohort district guidelines.
General Functions:

- Demonstrate proficiency in the ability to effectively and regularly communicate with SEKESC employees and constituents.

- Meet all safety requirements as directed by the SEKESC.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with staff and programs within SEKESC, from other Service Centers, or business partners to support the instructional resource needs of partner schools and districts.
- Coordinate and deliver professional development activities to partner district administrators and staff.
- Refer partner school districts to agencies, departments, and business partners that may provide needed resources or services.
- Provide appropriate SEKESC supervisors with reports on specific professional development and services provided to district partners.
- Document frequent communications with district partners.
- Assist or direct the writing of required professional learning plans as needed.
- Ability to coordinate special events (i.e. workshops, symposiums, lunch & learns, conferences) to provide/promote student achievement.
- Keep current on changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings, reading professional journals and other publications, and discussing concerns of mutual interest with others in the field.
- Implement and follow all SEKESC health and safety policies, including all precautions of the bloodborne pathogens exposure control plan.
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Manage all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.
- Requires long periods of sitting and standing.
- Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments with numerous interruptions.
- Must travel frequently in a personal car or service center vehicle.
