What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNA position at Greencroft Communities?
CNA will provide daily care, comfort, safety and health needs for the residents. The CNA is an important member of the health care team and will help monitor all activity assuring that state regulations are adhered to through resident care and documentation, believe in the values of customer-centered care, stewardship, ethical conduct and reflection, open communication and fair treatment of all residents, families and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with residents and team members in a respectful, adult manner.
- Communicate respect and caring verbally and non-verbally.
- Explain procedures before carrying them out. Offer choices to the resident.
- Answer resident call light promptly; respond appropriately to request.
- Remain calm with resident, staff and family difficulties.
- Assist with transferring residents in and out of bed in accordance with the needs of the resident and team members.
- Provide changes of clothing, briefs, bedding, etc. as needed in order to keep the residents and their living area clean.
- Assist residents with daily hygiene, including but not limited to, oral care, shaving and nail care, and biweekly baths.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent recommended.
- Completed and passed the training and competency exams as approved by the state board of
health required. - Meet the in-services requirements per year to maintain CNA certification required.
- Must maintain certifications as required by the facility or the state.
- Ability to read and comprehend written resident care instructions.
- Dependable, cooperative, interested in the care of the elderly.
Schedule:
- Part time openings available.
- Weekend shift pay: Additional $1.50/hr
- Night Shift Pay: Additional $1.50/hr
