What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead I position at Greencroft Communities?
Scope of Responsibility: Maintenance of buildings and equipment as well as other tasks required for physical plant operation.
Essential Functions:
- Complete work orders for structural, electrical, plumbing and HVAC in a timely and code-compliant manner.
- Communicate with staff and residents to maintain a good working relationship.
- Answer intercepts, lockouts and 911 calls.
- Order and restock supplies in shop.
- Work on apartment turnovers such as small plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.
- Preventative Maintenance Program completion for areas assigned.
- Drive golf carts between facilities and service center to pick up supplies.
- Weekends and evenings on-call per established rotational schedule.
- Small project completion in assigned areas.
- Repairs to larger equipment in assigned areas.
- Work in a safe manner consistent with the training and requirements for the Maintenance department including lifting, ladders, electrical, lock out-tag out, personal protective devices, MSDS sheets and confined spaces.
- Understand and follow the code requirements for the areas of assigned work.
Secondary Functions:
- Perform snow removal during the winter.
- Assist with special events set up and tear down.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One to three years general maintenance experience preferred.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry work.
- Ability to drive a golf cart.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to work without close supervision while maintaining Greencroft Maintenance Department standards of conduct and job performance.
Schedule:
Full-time; Monday thru Friday, days
