Job Summary
The Business Office Intern will have the unique opportunity to support the Hospital’s accounting and revenue cycle functions. This position will provide support to the CFO/Controller in the areas of revenue cycle, accounting and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use our systems to functionally run reports for CFO and Controller
- Assisting Revenue Cycle Director in the clean up of Chargemaster
- Update systems with updated contractual
- Investigate older billings for rectification analysis
- Protects patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrates clear ownership of workplace and patient safety.
- Reports mistakes, near misses, adverse events and quality and safety concerns.
- Participates in the development and implementation of safety and quality improvement activities
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: High School Graduate/GED required. Preferrable college student taking Business/Accounting related classes.
Licensure/Certifications: N/A
Experience: Must have strong PC skills specifically in Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must represent the organization in a professional manner. Must be very organized and flexible with the ability to multi-task.
Physical Requirements: Frequent sitting, standing and walking. Frequent stooping, bending and reaching. Occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
