What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at GREENE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER?
- Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
- Varied (8) hour shifts; 5:30am, 6am, and 10:30am shift start times
- Includes every other weekend
- Benefits eligible; PTO, IPERS
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience preparing main entrees, vegetables, salads and baked goods
- Ability to meet meal schedules and properly utilize leftover foods
- Required standard cook skills - will consider no exp.
- Collect patient menu selections and deliver meals to patients
- Work in the dish room; help with tray line
- Desire to work in a fast-paced kitchen
- Knowledge of modified diets preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Strong organization skills, attention to details and food safety experience
- Must become ServSafe certified after 6 months of employment
