What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Laboratory position at GREENE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER?
- Full-time position, exempt (80 hours/2-week pay period)
- Benefits eligible, PTO, IPERS
- Oversee the overall functioning of the laboratory, including managing workflow, scheduling staff, and ensuring timely completion of tests and procedures.
- Will oversee the work of laboratory staff by performing routine testing, evaluating performance and handling any procedural or technical problems that may occur.
- Will keep the laboratory running efficiently by developing and implementing quality control programs, prepare reports and implement work schedules for personnel
- Will educate the laboratory staff on new information, manage hiring, recommend terminations and organization of the department
- Required: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) or commensurate experience
- Required: two to four years' supervisory experience
- Required: Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Products
- Preferred: MLT-ASCP
- Preferred: MT-ASCP; CLS-HHS; MLS; ASCP or equivalent nationally recorgnized laboratory certification
