Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and preferences
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions and orders
- Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology

Experience:
- Previous experience as an optician or in a related role preferred
- Knowledge of optical concepts, including lens types, coatings, and frame materials
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to ophthalmology and optometry
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for managing patient information
- Strong understanding of anatomy as it relates to the eyes and visual system
- Experience with retail management or retail math is a plus

Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized recommendations
- Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements and prescription fulfillment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Effective communication skills to explain complex optical concepts to customers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
