Assistant Food Service Director – Greene Meadows Nursing Home
Responsibilities Include:
- Timely preparation and service of meals
- In assisting the Food Service Director, you may be asked to assist in Scheduling, Budgeting, Ordering & Inventory (& other tasks as needed)
- Handle food by safety standards
- Follow all sanitation standards
- Consistently utilize standardized recipes and portion control.
- Responsible for the supervision of the kitchen when in the absence of a supervisor/director
- Prepare meals in accordance with dietary and consistency requirements
- Assist with special functions
- Maintain and assure cleanliness and safe operation of equipment in all work areas
- Maintain logs for refrigerators/freezers and food temperatures.
- Be a role model for staff to follow and maintain a positive work environment
- Be cost-efficient and productive.
- CLEAN, SAFE & SANITARY
- Promote and follow facility policies, rules, and regulations.
Required qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Ability to supervise and lead others
- Previous experience in the food service industry
- Shifts Vary:
- Requires every other weekend availability.
