Pay: $51,000 to $53,000/year

Greene Resources is partnering with the Greater Raleigh Chamber to find an Event Manager to join a dynamic and growing team!
Job Description:
- Source locations and properties for meetings and events.
- Request and negotiate vendor contracts and contract changes.
- Submit contracts and accompanying purchase orders for approval.
- Review and approve catering banquet event orders (BEOs) and prepare other instructional documents for vendors.
- Submit event project requests in the communications project management system and work collaboratively to develop marketing timelines.
- Coordinate the delivery of sponsor benefits related to event logistics, in collaboration with the registration coordinator.
- Confirm event vendors and oversee event set-up and breakdown.
- Coordinate post-event activities, including requests for outstanding invoices and event/speaker evaluation procedures.
- Track meeting and event income and expenses in Excel weekly.
- Meet or exceed budget goals for assigned programs and provide post-event income and expense information to content providers and accounting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and budgeting.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Webinar, project management software, and relational database systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Aptitude for teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
