We are seeking a motivated and experienced Crew Leader to join our team. The Crew Leader will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Groundskeepers, ensuring that all landscaping tasks are completed to the highest standards. In addition to leadership duties, the Crew Leader will also participate in mowing and maintaining the grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Groundskeepers, providing guidance and support.
- Assign tasks and ensure that all team members understand their responsibilities.
- Operate lawn mowers and other heavy machinery to mow grass and maintain landscapes.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
- Remove debris and ensure the cleanliness of the grounds.
- Monitor the health of plants and grass, reporting any issues to management.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and provide training.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with other landscaping tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Must be of legal age to operate heavy machinery (typically 16 years or older).
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain lawn mowers and other heavy machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
