Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lean Manufacturing Specialist II to join our team at Greene Tweed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional groups to achieve business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze daily, monthly, and annual metrics to optimize manufacturing operations and recommend improvements to machinery performance.
- Identify and resolve problems in the value stream by working closely with Safety and Quality teams.
- Lead capital expense projects from quote to implementation with minimal guidance and contribute to the annual budgeting process.
- Develop documentation to facilitate the implementation of automated processes, incremental products, and new equipment during production transitions.
- Promote total preventative maintenance initiatives to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure critical equipment is understood.
- Maintain awareness of customer and industry technical requirements and business acumen regarding the impact of technical decisions.
- E nsure compliance with safety and quality regulations of the industry served by the value stream.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline; Preference given to candidates with Lean/Six Sigma certifications.
- 3-6 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of Intermediate Lean Manufacturing tools and practical experience applying lean standards in a manufacturing environment required.
- Understanding and use of SPC and ability to analyze data.
