Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee daily landscaping operations, including scheduling, crew assignments, and equipment management to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of landscape professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and accountability.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations. Address any issues or quality concerns promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all landscaping activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and company policies. Promote a safety-first culture among all employees.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Oversee the inventory of landscaping materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure proper maintenance and timely replacement of equipment.
- Scheduling & Reporting: Create and manage schedules for landscape projects and services. Maintain accurate records of daily operations and report progress to upper management.
- Marketing & Business Development: Assist in identifying opportunities for business growth, including upselling services to existing clients and expanding our customer base.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscaping, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Bi-Lingual: Fluent in Spanish
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating teams to achieve operational goals and maintain high standards.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of landscaping practices, including planting, irrigation, turf management, and hardscaping.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and landscape safety standards.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in landscape management, horticulture, or a related field is a plus.
- Driving License: Valid driver’s license
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with project management software, MS Office Suite, and other tools for tracking projects and performance.
