What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavating Crew member position at Greener Group LLC?
Job purpose:
To assist in meeting our site commitments to our clients
Qualifications:
- Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather, except for lightning, tornado, or hurricane conditions.
- Stamina to withstand physical work for long shifts (approximately 10-11 hours) except lunch and break periods.
- Ability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to retain what has been taught.
- Ability to ask for assistance or clarification when unsure.
- Ability to track hours worked and locations at which the hours were worked.
- Use of good judgement.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Working conditions:
- Outdoor work at all sites; temperatures vary from AM to PM and at different times of the year. Very hot and very cold temperatures.
- Sounds and / or noise levels can be distracting. Hearing protection is provided.
- Wear common personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protections, hard hats, hi viz vests, provided by Greener Group
Essential job functions:
- Cleaning and prepping construction sites
- Loading and Unloading materials and equipment
- Digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes
- Ability to use power tools
- Follow instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties
- Maintain all safety standards.
Physical requirements
- Handling and moving objects needing manual and multilimbed dexterity and coordination.
- Trunk strength. Arm-Hand steadiness.
- Operating vehicles, mechanized devices and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to perform repeated motions with controlled precision.
- Ability to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours and in extreme environmental conditions.
- Lifting and carrying weights up to 50 pounds
