What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal/Legal Assistant position at Greenfelder Copes?
We are looking for a self-motivated paralegal/legal assistant to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.
Monday - Thursday 9AM - 4PM w/ pd. Lunch
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness
- Handle communication with attorneys, clients, witnesses etc.
- Locate and develop case relevant information
- Type up and file basic legal documents and correspondence
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Maintain contact lists
- Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars
- Scheduling appointments
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and all Google Suite products
- Working knowledge of case management software
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure
- Demonstrate successful work experience with confidential material
- Strong skills to research and problem-solve to obtain information or data from various sources and materials and organize with excellent attention to detail into a comprehensive package.
