What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Technician position at Greenfield Construction Cont.?
**Position Objective:
**Greenfield Contractors LLC is a general contracting company that specializes in the design, sale and installation of Fabric-Covered Hoop Buildings. We have been in business for over 10 years and engage in dozens of projects across the Midwest. The majority of our projects are in Illinois, Iowa and Kansas, but we also venture into Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin. We are currently looking to hire an internal crew member to install these projects. Work includes minor concrete work, wood posts and I-beam foundations, steel erection, and other associated construction type tasks.
Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although there may be changes based upon project requirements. The typical work week consists of 50 hours but will flex to 60 hours during busy periods or as the projected schedule dictates.
Position requires travel 40 to 50 weeks per year. Most construction crews will be on the jobsite up to a week at a time, but home most weekends. Work will be performed throughout Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and surrounding states with some projects requiring overnight travel. When overnight travel is required, accommodation and meal per diem is included. Crews meet at the shop daily or weekly as required and travel to and from the jobsite via company truck. One way drive time is paid for travel from the shop to the jobsite.

**Essential Duties
**
Ensure the buildings are installed in a safe manner that doesn’t present any hazards while also supporting functionality to allow for the best possible performance.
Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and repairs.
Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
Carry material.
Unloading, material handling, and staging.
Install columns, mainframes, girts, purlins, etc.
Roof and wall sheeting installation.
Gutter and downspout installation.
Framing and install of windows and doors.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order.
Assemble and set up necessary machinery or equipment.
Minor concrete work, wood posts and I-beam foundations, steel erection, and other associated construction type tasks

**Education/Experience Requirements
**
High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Construction Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Driver’s License (Required)
Operating equipment such as Scissor lift, forklift, skid steer, backhoe, etc. (Preferred).
**Physical Requirements
**
Employees must provide tools and equipment including steel-toe boots, tape measure, speed square, hammer, pliers, tool belt and pouches.
Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as a skid steer, scissor lift, boom lift, forklifts and various other equipment as projects dictate.
Upon employment, successfully pass the OSHA 10-hour safety training course prior to 1st day of work.
Ability to stand and/or walk 8 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to sit, drive, and kneel/crawl 2 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 15 lbs-50 lbs. for 5-8 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 80 lbs-100 lbs. for 2 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to reaching overhead and reaching below the shoulder for 5-8 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to Squat/crouch for 5-8 hours out of a 10-hour workday.
Ability to stoop for 1 hour of a 10-hour workday.
