Junior Engineer Technician
Summary: Greenfield Engineering is seeking a junior level engineering technician to build cable and wire assemblies for avionics test benches. Applicant will fabricate and assemble military style connectors based on wire diagrams and assembly drawings. Applicant will assist senior engineers with verification of cable plant installation.
Qualifications: A qualified incumbent would at minimum possess the following skill sets:
- Experience using, reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation such as test plans, maintenance and assembly procedures, schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and wirelists
- Knowledge and experience with proper use of common and specialty hand tools, general purpose electronic test equipment (GPETE) and special purpose electronic test equipment (SPETE)
- Some wiring/cabling experience and the ability to differentiate colors in paired cables
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing wiring issues.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills and verbal communication
- Ability to multitask and understand verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Security Clearance Required: Secret
Telework: This position is not eligible for reoccurring telework, and will require an onsite presence at Pax River.
Required Education: High School or GED
Experience: Junior: A Junior level person with 2 to 3 years’ experience.
