What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Analyst position at Greenfield Engineering Corp?
Summary: Greenfield Engineering is seeking a journey level Project Analyst to support the Mission Systems Software development laboratories. The Team Member will be responsible for overseeing the lab Purchasing Process, managing life-cycle logistics activities, and Configuration Management (CM).
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing Lead responsibilities include assisting the forecasting fiscal year budgets and future purchase with Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) and program managers, requesting price quotes from vendors, maintaining and updating Vendor Database spreadsheet, and adhering to and ensuring all Lab Purchasing processes are being followed.
- Logistician duties include forecasting obsolescence dates on mission critical parts months prior to forecast obsolete date. Mitigate obsolescence risk by using Total Life Cycle Management tools to substitute, alternate, and supersede part procurement and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues. Provide life-cycle logistical support to the Labs by managing life-cycle logistics activities for hardware and software equipment, assets, and parts using eQuip! asset management software. Track software and maintenance expiration dates to avoid lapse in licenses. Participate in and perform a Physical Configuration Audit (PCA), as required, that adheres to and ensures Lab’s logistics processes are being followed.
- Configuration Management responsibilities include acting as primary point of contact for ensuring that all Lab CM activities are in accordance with the CM Plan and are being followed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of five years purchasing experience.
- Outstanding communications skills.
- Meticulous attention to details.
- Experience with inventory database and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in operating within well-defined processes.
- Works well in team environment.
Security Clearance Required: Secret
Telework: This position is may be eligible for reoccurring telework, and will require an onsite presence at the Patuxent River Facility for greater than or equal to 75% of the work week.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline from an accredited college or university. (Desired)
Experience: JOURNEYMAN (Mid): A Journeyman level person within a labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a BA/BS degree. A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently.
