What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Principal position at Greenfield Public Schools?
Qualifications: 1. Masters Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in elementary education or a related field2. Three years of proven leadership experience in public school education preferred3. Successful experience as an Elementary School Principal preferred4.
Hold or qualified for valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a Elementary Principal Administrator, preferred5. Knowledge of elementary level curriculum, best instructional practices in content areas, assessment, special education, and data analysis.6. Understanding of developmental instruction, differentiated instruction, Response to Intervention, student learning styles, positive behavioral interventions, and of individualized education programs (IEPs) and processes7. Experience with budget preparation and the line-item expenditure process, preferred8.
Proven ability to successfully communicate with parents, teachers and members of the community9. Knowledge of and experience with federal and state statutes and regulations pertaining to special education, Section 504 and related programs, and English Language Learners10. Demonstrated ability to use technology for productivity, communication, and collaboration11. Knowledge of the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation Model System, preferred12.
