Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) & Rehab Director (RD) Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage Teams: Oversee and mentor a team of OTs, COTAs, PTs, PTAs, and STs, ensuring effective collaboration and a supportive work environment.
- Implement and Oversee Therapy Interventions: COTA will assist in implementing occupational therapy under OT supervision to improve residents' independence and functional abilities. RD will ensure rehabilitation strategies align with facility goals for optimal patient outcomes.
- Care Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate care across rehab disciplines, working with OTs, COTAs, PTs, PTAs, nurses, and STs to deliver holistic care. Actively participate in care planning meetings to monitor resident progress.
- Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly assess resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Communicate updates to the team, leadership, and family members to ensure continuous improvement.
- Recruitment, Training, and Development: RD will recruit, train, and mentor rehab staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements for both care delivery and documentation.
- Scheduling and Resource Management: Manage rehab department scheduling and resources efficiently to ensure optimal coverage and resource allocation.
- Education and Support: COTA will educate residents and families on functional mobility, injury prevention, and rehabilitation exercises. RD will integrate new treatment techniques and technologies to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Budget and Operations Management: RD will manage the rehab department's budget, resources, and staffing to maintain a high standard of care and operational success.
- Interdisciplinary Representation: RD will represent the rehab department in interdisciplinary meetings, ensuring rehab goals are integrated into overall care plans.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school with an associate degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Certification by the State of Wisconsin to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- 1 year clinical practice experience required.
