Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Conducting initial and ongoing evaluations of children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities.
- Identifying barriers to independence and daily functioning in children, including fine motor, sensory processing, and self-regulation challenges.
- Developing customized occupational therapy programs that address the specific goals and needs of pediatric patients.
- Assisting children in improving skills related to daily activities, such as dressing, eating, school tasks, and play.
- Addressing challenges related to sensory processing, motor skills, and adaptive behavior.
- Assisting children with physical disabilities or delays in achieving milestones related to motor planning, coordination, and posture.
- Recommending adaptive equipment or tools to aid in children’s mobility, fine motor tasks, or participation in daily activities.
- Collaborating with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to create an effective therapy plan.
- Educating families and caregivers on ways to support children’s functional independence at home and school.
- Participating in school-based or B-3 team meetings to coordinate care and review therapy goals.
- Maintaining accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress.
- Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and educational guidelines for pediatric care.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- License as required by the State of Wisconsin to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
