What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech and Language Pathologist position at Greenfield Union School District - Kern County?
Provide information to school personnel, parents, and community memebers regarding children who may need speech/language/hearing services.
Informs teachers, parents, and memebers of community about normal and delayed communicative behavior.
Meets and confers with teachers about methods and modifiying education programs for speech/language/hearing problems.
Review regular classroom population for speech/language problems.
Reviews students referred by parents and/or school personnel for sheech/language problems.
Follows leagl timelines.
Provide written report for areas of speech and language to be assessed, reason for assessment.
Provides written report for parents and involved personnel after assessment is completed.
Evaluate students progress through annual review of student's IEP.
Conducts complete assessment of areas of continued speech/language deficit triennially.
Provide alternative means of assessments for speech/language and other special programs.
Assist parents and students in contacting appropriate community resources.
Cooperates with other school districts conducting clinics.
Determines if students qualify for services
Identify students with exceptional needs.
Identify LEP students who qualify for speech/language programs.
Individualized Educational Program (IEP)
Provifes therapy services to students identified with speech/language/hearing problems.
Any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Salary : $91,489 - $133,347
