Job Summary
The Student Exchange Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating and managing student exchange programs. This position is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, support, and ongoing management of students participating in exchange programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, managing volunteers, and an enthusiasm for promoting cultural exchange and educational opportunities.
Qualifications
- You are comfortable working as a 1099 Independent Contractor with commission-based pay (this is not an hourly position).
- You live in the United States year-round and are authorized to work here.
- You are at least 26 years of age.
- You are willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- You have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Duties
- Coordinate aspects of student exchange programs, including recruitment, orientation, and ongoing support for participants.
- Manage relationships with host families, schools, and community organizations to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
- Conduct training sessions for volunteers to enhance their effectiveness in supporting students.
- Monitor the progress of students and provide ongoing guidance and assistance throughout their exchange experience.
- Organize cultural events and activities to enrich the exchange experience and foster community involvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, volunteer participation, and program outcomes.
Experience
- Experience working with students in an educational or supportive capacity, or in volunteer management, is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, families, and community partners.
- A passion for education and cultural exchange that motivates others to participate in the program.
