General Purpose
Operate SEYI press and Linear transfer interfaces with HMI’s.
Major Responsibilities/Activities (Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following,
but other duties may be assigned)
- Must be able to use the SEYI press and Linear transfer interfaces HMI’s (Human Machine Interface).
- Attention to detail to adjust shovels, sensors, and understand what the Press faults mean and how to fix them.
- Check quality of parts as coming off press. Must be able to associate quality issues to either material or machine related root cause.
- Mechanical and Controls experience to be able to troubleshoot the Press/Die/Coil feed.
- Must have die setting experience and precision during execution of die change overs.
- Must be able to requisition the right material and write scrap tickets to get scrap dumped.
- Must be able to drive forklift and dump scrap when no help is available.
- Drive forklift to set up empty coffins.
- Set up coil and feed.
- Understanding of Kanban and how it relates to the highest configuration priorities.
- Use of MES software to forecast what to run and at what quantity.
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Must take pride in cleanliness and organization.
- Must be a team player, take ownership of the equipment and project.
- Employee is required to stand, bend, lift, twist, 5 lbs. per piece, push 1200 lb. carts, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma
- Adequate computer knowledge required.
- Knowledge of SAP, software, programming experience a plus.
- The noise level is sometimes loud. The facility is not a climate-controlled plant resulting in hot and cold temperatures.
