We are seeking a QA/QC Assistant to support quality assurance and quality control activities for a photovoltaic (PV) construction project. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations, contributing to the successful execution of the project.
Project is based in Wheatfield, Indiana.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the QA/QC plan for the project.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks of construction activities, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Support documentation control by maintaining records of inspections, test results, and quality reports.
- Assist in coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
- Report and document any non-conformities or deviations from the approved plans and procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and assist in corrective and preventive action processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards related to quality control.
- Support the preparation of quality reports and assist in presenting findings to the QA/QC Supervisor.
- Help in training workers on quality procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with the project team to maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience in quality control within the construction or renewable energy sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with PV systems and related components is an advantage.
- Knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Be comfortable working in the project site
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in QA/QC, such as ISO 9001 training, are a plus.
- Experience working on large-scale renewable energy projects.
Basic knowledge of health and safety standards in construction
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
