Job Description
We are looking for an Experienced Maintenance Mechanic who will work with our team to insure continual and efficient operation of the facility's mechanical and electrical equipment, complete preventative maintenance, diagnose issues and repair motors, pneumatic and hydraulic devices, conveyor systems, additional production related equipment as well as overall plant machinery.
Maintenance Dept Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, steam, water, waste and pneumatic systems/components found in manufacturing equipment related to all processing, production of corrugated cardboard and facility systems.
- 4 years related experience, preferably in the industrial manufacturing industry
- Plan & execute preventative maintenance according to PM schedule to minimize downtime.
- Maintain production line machinery and equipment to manufacturers specs.
- Complete repairs of mechanical & structural components on production lines to remain operational.
- Electromechanical repairs & troubleshooting of Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical & Sensors.
- Inventory shop stock weekly / monthly in order to maintain accurate parts inventories
- Complete work orders and required paperwork to the highest quality standards
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), company policies and procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) at all times
- Maintenance of machinery and facility as a whole.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness, striving for an accident-free workplace
Preferred Experience of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use of a variety of hand tools, precision hand tools, and measuring instruments at a high level as required.
- Preferred competencies in welding, presses, grinders, basic fabrication, PLC logic.
- A background in boiler maintenance or a 2nd class fireman’s license or willing to obtain a 2nd class fireman’s license.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, schematics, service and operating manuals
- Maintain accurate maintenance, production, quality and operational records as required
- Knowledge of LOTO, GMPs, Confined Space (Hot Works), Electrical Safety, MSDS, OSHA and other environmental regulations and procedures - Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Able to speak, write, and understand English
- Able to work overtime when necessary

- Able to balance while ascending/descending ladders and scaffolding using safety procedures
- Able to twist, bend, lay, kneel, reach, and crouch at elevated and ground levels
- Vision abilities include: close, distant, and color vision
- Able to adjust to changing demands and environments quickly as needed throughout plant
- Employee will be exposed to variable air temperatures, wet and/or humid conditions, high locations, vibration, chemicals.
