Responsibilities
Overview
Responsible for assisting the Director of Instruction with the planning and implementation of the golf instructional program that will ensure a quality experience for members and staff. Assisting PGA Professional Staff with execution the junior golf program; and providing golf instruction through lessons, clinics, camps, schools, and seminars.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities:
- Assist Director of Golf and Director of Instruction in the implementation of the golf operation as required.
- Assist Director of Instruction with execution of KCC Junior Golf Academy.
- Maintain the general upkeep of the driving range, lesson tee, and Performance Center as required.
- Shadow Director of Instruction and other PGA Professional Staff during private lessons
- Represent KCC as the direct liaison with The First Tee of Kalamazoo
Member Services
- Develop and implement a teaching philosophy that remains consistent throughout the season.
- Provide golf instructions to KCC Juniors through lessons, clinics, schools, and seminars.
- Coordinate and execute junior program, including sports camp, PGA Junior League, Operation 36, Birdie Basics, Little Eagles and Junior Tournaments
- Play golf regularly with KCC members.
Qualifications
What You Need for this Position
- PGM Level 1 Associate minimum
- Must have a passion for teaching golf as a career path.
- Experience using Trackman, BodiTrak, Swing Catalyst, SAM PuttLab and K-Vest preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher)
- College golf experience preferred and/or strong playing background.
