Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to lead our construction projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including concrete, asphalt, and excavating, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within specifications. The Construction Foreman will oversee and assist the daily operations of the job site, manage crew members, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining high standards of quality control. This individual will also do estimating and bidding of jobs. We are willing to train the right individual to become effective in all aspects of our diverse workload.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage construction crews to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
- View jobs/sites and provide estimates as well as bidding jobs where required.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction activities effectively.
- Develop project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards throughout the construction process.
- Manage contracts and coordinate with subcontractors for various aspects of the project.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members to enhance skills and productivity.
- Willingness to work with the crew physically as needed.
- Safely and effectively operate machinery including; Dozer, Excavator, Skidsteer, Compactor, End Loader, Off-Road Truck.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Experience with project scheduling.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site efficiently.
- Experience with GPS grading instruments is a plus.
