Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans and guiding patients toward achieving functional goals. Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- State certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates welcome; prior experience in rehabilitation settings is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and progress documentation.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, physical stamina, attention to detail, and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing occupational therapy treatment plans under therapist supervision.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance mobility and daily function.
- Train patients in using adaptive equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, splints) for daily tasks.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting updates to supervising therapists.
- Maintain and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety practices.
