Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Deputy Medical Director for Collier County's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division. The Deputy Medical Director will assists the Medical Director in providing professional medical oversight and direction to ensure compliance with Florida Statutes and Department of Health regulations.
Schedule of the Deputy Medical Director:
- This is a Part-time position
- Start date - July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027
- Flexible schedule with occasional requirements for specific duties at the OIC Columbus Office
Responsibilities of Deputy Medical Director:
- Support Medical Oversight: Assist the Medical Director in supervising and assuming responsibility for the medical performance of paramedics and EMTs.
- Protocol Development: Participate in creating and managing medical protocols and standing orders for life support procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in establishing a quality assurance committee to review patient care records and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Training and Education: Participate in continuing education and field evaluations to maintain expertise in pre-hospital care.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with Florida Statutes regarding medication handling and report any disciplinary concerns to the Department of Health.
- Leadership Support: Assume Medical Director duties during absences and provide backup support.

- Must have an active Florida Medical License
- Must be board certified in emergency medicine
- ACLS and DEA certification
- Demonstrated experience in pre-hospital care and participation in regional or statewide physician groups involved in emergency medical services
- Participation in continuing medical education related to pre-hospital care is required
- The salary for this position is $150/ hr
