Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Geriatrician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York.
Responsibilities of the Geriatrician:
- The Geriatrician will provide medical care to treat, prevent and/or diagnose illness, disease, or injury
- The physician will examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status, analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient, prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination
- The physician will also focus on explaining procedures and discussing test results on prescribed treatments with patient and advise patients and community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- The physician will collaborate with and non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc)
- The physician will perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs/demands
- Home visits and in office visits
Requirements
- Must have an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program
- Must have completion of Fellowship in Geriatrics
- Must be Board Certified
- Must have valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS
- Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred
- The salary for this position is $210,000 - $245,000 / yr
- This is a Full-time position
