Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Mobile Medication Unit Nursing Coordinator to fill an opening with a Residential Facility (FQHC) located in Bronx, New York
Requirements of the Nursing Coordinator :
- Must have a current NYS RN License
- Must have a current NYS Infection Control Certificate and BCLS Completion Card
- Must have at least 2 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program.
- Must have proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs).
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to interact with service recipients of diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Must have the ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
- Bilingual English / Spanish is preferred

Provides nursing care that supports patients in treatment and recovery.Administers medication adhering to institutional policy / procedures and federal / state regulatory standards.Monitors the transfer of all controlled substances and supplies to and from the clinic / MMU.Maintains medication dispensing unit to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing.Assess patients for signs of altered mental status prior to dispensing medication and assess a patient for medication side effects.Communicates, as needed, with the prescribing professional.Provides health teaching and counseling to patients.Documents and maintains patient medical records adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.Responsible for ordering, delivering, tracking, and monitoring all controlled substances.Responsible for ensuring all reports required by organizations and regulatory agencies are complete, accurate, secured, and readily available for review.In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, SUD Services, ensures adequate MMU nursing coverage.Makes recommendations on matters concerning the physical plant operations, workflow, and resources.Treats patients in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, confidentiality, and patient rights.Performs any additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned, as needed.Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is a nationwide recruitment agency, matching both new grads and advanced practitioners to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, multi-specialty groups, and private practices.
