Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide high-quality care to patients with complex mental health conditions at one of Indiana’s state-operated facilities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about recovery-focused care, team collaboration, and clinical leadership. You will drive treatment planning, mentor interdisciplinary staff, and contribute to program development that supports vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans
- Diagnose mental health disorders and manage medications appropriately
- Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families
- Collaborate with psychologists, nurses, and social workers to ensure integrated care
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in continuing education and hospital improvement committees
- Supervise and mentor medical students as needed

Qualifications- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school (required)
- Licensure: Active Indiana medical license (required)
- Board Certification: General Psychiatry (required)
- Experience:
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency (required)
- Previous experience in hospital or severe mental illness settings (preferred)
Technical Expertise:
- Psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning
- Medication management and monitoring
- Electronic health record documentation and regulatory compliance
