GreenLife United, Inc. is a startup nonprofit with a mission to support the environment (Green) and basic human needs (Life) in the local community. The business will operate thrift stores and donation centers, provide fundraising to local nonprofits, and support to local individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
- Train and supervise store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Monitor and maintain store appearance, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving merchandise, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Handle cash register operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and reconciling sales transactions.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop and implement store policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous management experience is required, preferably in retail.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent retail sales skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Proficiency in cash register operations and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
