POSITION SUMMARY :
Greenpeak Venture Partners, a leading private equity firm with $2B in Assets Under Management, is seeking a driven and talented Associate to play a pivotal role in expanding our portfolio. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with firm leadership, including the Owners and Executive Chairman, to source, evaluate, and execute acquisition opportunities in the lower to middle market. The Associate will be instrumental in shaping the firm's growth strategy by identifying high-potential investments and contributing to portfolio management and value creation. This position will have a direct report.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Deal Sourcing : Collaborate with investment bankers, business brokers, and other intermediaries to identify and assess acquisition opportunities.
- Financial Analysis : Develop detailed financial models to evaluate potential investments, assess valuation, and support decision-making.
- Due Diligence : Engage directly with business owners and management teams of target companies to conduct thorough diligence.
- Strategic Planning : Craft comprehensive business plans to drive long-term value creation through organic growth, bolt-on acquisitions, and operational improvements.
- Investment Committee Presentation : Prepare and present detailed investment opportunities to the firm's Investment Committee, including analysis of strategic fit and financial upside.
- Capital Markets & Financing : Partner with banks and lenders to structure and secure financing for acquisitions and refinancing opportunities.
- Portfolio Management : Collaborate with management teams of portfolio companies' post-acquisition to monitor performance, execute business plans, and ensure adherence to budgets.
- Ongoing Collaboration : Work with GreenPeak's team and portfolio companies to identify new investment opportunities and develop strategic initiatives.
- Quarterly Reporting : Present regular updates on portfolio performance to the Investment Committee.
