Our Opportunity
The SVP of Wholesale will lead the day-to-day operations, procurement and distribution for a multi-faceted organization spanning across several locations across the Southeast. While serving a senior role on the corporate leadership team, this position will establish the strategic direction of the Wholesale division to meet fulfillment needs, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and effective processes and systems. The ideal candidate for this position will have proven experience leading a diverse distribution team and implanting improvements and strategy in a complex environment. Important elements of this position include process improvement, forecasting, planning, modeling, inventory management, transportation, and warehouse and distribution management. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of information systems and how to turn big data into useful information.
This is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing strategies to build processes that optimize cost and performance and create rapid growth, establishing GreenPoint Ag as the premier provider of agronomy products and services in the South.
Essential Functions
- Provide leadership and facilitate cross-functional problem solving across the enterprise to optimize fulfillment execution.
- Provide direction and manage overall activities to drive solid execution of strategies in order to realize measurable improvements in performance and growth
- Deliver a scalable operating model across multiple locations with different volume and complexities
- Execute and continuously enhance the order fulfillment strategy in alignment with company’s strategy
- Develop inventory targets and strategies, collaborating with the rest of the business and third-party providers
- Analyze and assess industry and market dynamics on a regular basis to assess cost, material allocation and modern distribution trends.
- Leads, manages, and holds accountable direct reports to the mission, vision, values, and key strategy of the company
- Sets the tone for Wholesale leadership to establish a culture of being the safest company in our industry
- Develops and implements retail business sales processes and plans to achieve financial goals
- Develops the Sales organization necessary to deliver on the sales, marketing, and growth goals and objectives of the wholesale business
- Establishes the standard for continuous improvement in operational efficiency and a premier customer experience
- Budgets and plans financial goals and objectives for the wholesale business that support the overall goals of the company
- Promotes teamwork and collaboration throughout the business
- Sets and monitors the scorecard and key performance indicators to be sure the business is on track with goals for safety, sales, operational efficiency, and financial performance
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervises staff, including performance development, performance management, and other personnel decisions.
- Manages others through subordinate supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of proven sales and operations experience in the agriculture industry. Progressive leadership responsibility in Warehouse, Supply Planning, Fulfillment, and Transportation
- Proven experience with managing distribution and warehouse centers with similar complexity
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience supervising and leading staff to include hiring, assigning responsibilities, reviewing performance, recommending salaries, promotions, and terminations
- Experience with planning strategies and directing P&L responsibilities
- Excellent working knowledge of the agriculture wholesale business
- Exceptional financial skills and use of information technology systems
- Knowledgeable of grower production practices and ag technology tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across internal team relationships, plus customers, vendors, and other key stakeholders
- Comfortable working and communicating with employees at all levels in geographically dispersed business operations
- Highly developed influencing and communication skills, and the presence, experience, and bearing to effectively represent the corporation to a variety of audiences
- Analytical skills to effectively analyze data, make appropriate conclusions, and provide useful and insightful recommendations
- Highly collaborative orientation, with strong consultative, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong Financial, Business and Analysis skills understanding company margins, pricing strategies and profitability measures
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. Employee may occasionally be required to visit agricultural/industrial/warehouse settings which require exposure to heat, humidity, dust, and industrial hazardous conditions which will require the use of PPE.

Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods and the use of hands to finger is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. While performing the duties of this job, good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, and copiers is needed. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
