Summary/Objective:

As an Order Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our plants run smoothly as possible. You will be involved with generating orders, providing basic support for our proprietary system, assisting in customer care and help in any other areas needed for our plant. If you enjoy supporting the needs of others and providing excellent internal/external customer service, we want you on our team!

Specific Duties:

• Generate orders in our ERP system from customer purchase orders in a timely fashion
• Review orders to ensure accuracy
• Track and send completed production orders to customers
• Provide excellent customer service internally and externally
• Understand operations within the plant

• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
• Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications/Training

• Education: Completion of High School Diploma or GED
• Basic telephone and computer skills

• Knowledge of basic math principles such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; a basic understanding of weights and measurements
• Valid driver’s license
• Communicates Effectively: Clear Interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, gripping and bending
• Light to moderate lifting is required
• High mental and visual effort required
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time

Safety / Hazards:

• Steel toed shoes always required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
• ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
• Ear protection required
• May be Exposed to flying objects such as scrap metal and sparks
• Exposed to significant temperature changes while in the plant – (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
