Brief Description:
The Service Manager with GreenPower is responsible for the management of the Service department and the leadership of the Field Service Team. This position requires the ability to lead a team that has the technical acumen and ability to provide high-level customer service to our customers. A Service Manager is a team-leader and self-starter who is experience in team management. This position requires high-level critical thinking, conceptualization, implementation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast pace environment.
- Organize team roles and evaluate employee performance.
- Documenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management.
- Assisting in performance reviews and assessments.
- Responsible for new employee onboarding and training program.
- Accountable for effectively managing expenses and revenue to Service Department.
- Proven ability to determine, create, roll out, and manage service reports.
- Lead and manage all service activity in territory.
- Ensure that programs and processes are developed, assessed, communicated and administered in compliance with company objectives.
- Manage and be accountable for high-value inventory reconciliation.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams regularly on implementing and continuously improving service operations.
- Prioritize, plan, and coordinate logistics and communications with internal teams and customers.
- Build a strong customer-centric team of Service Technicians, Service Advisors and Parts Advisors.
- Lead and take ownership of management responsibility relating to hiring, performance management, and overall employee development planning.
- Responsible for ensuring the establishment of safe service business practices and processes.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Develop and maintain a process to track and report on KPI's in assigned territory.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of vehicles during and post production.
- Performs machinist duties and responsibilities when needed.
- Collaborates with Operations team to identify solutions to reduce customer impact.
- Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Flexible on traveling when required.
Physical Requirements:
Considerable physical activity with prolonged periods of sitting and computer work. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 pounds.

Work is normally performed in an office work environment. Other environments may include:

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation for this position will be in the range of $80,000 to $100,000. GreenPower offers benefits including health/dental/vision/prescription drug plan, flexible benefits plan, 401(K) retirement savings plan, life and disability benefits, paid holidays and paid vaction.
