As an Account Manager, you will be:
- Leading and supporting key accounts acting both as a client point of contact and day to day support for larger accounts, managing day to day deliverables, strategy development and more
- Support the development of media strategies, client strategic planning and creative, and assist with execution of approved plans, including media outreach
- Staying up-to-date on news and trends impacting client industry and identifying key opportunities for clients to activate
- Support development of GreenRubino’s growth through networking activity, industry events and new business pitches.
The basics.
You have about 5-7 years of experience in public relations, communications, and/or client service in a related field in an agency environment. You’ve worked with brands in the consumer lifestyle sectors (travel, food/beverage, hospitality, beauty, non-profit). You’ve worked on multiple account teams at once and interacted with clients regularly both leading and supporting accounts. You’re an experienced media strategist and have secured top tier coverage for your clients. You’re a problem solver. You approach your work ethically and with integrity. You are an excellent communicator and able to clearly and concisely deliver your message. You understand how to change your communication style depending on your audience. You’re comfortable presenting to clients and colleagues. You are organized and time-efficient. You’re able to manage working on several projects while maintain high-quality work. You’re detail-oriented and deadline focused. Time management is a character strength of yours.
The nitty-gritty.
- Undergraduate degree in related field
- Five or more years work experience in travel/lifestyle PR and corporate communications
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, multi-tasking, unique work environment
- Proven ability to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Solid portfolio of secured media coverage to include national, magazine, newspaper, TV and online clips (big picture feature placements are a must).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the media, including industry-appropriate bloggers and influencers
- Comprehensive knowledge of the industry
- Working knowledge of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
- Knowledge of Web design, search engine optimization, and basic HTML are a plus
- Proven experience implementing PR campaigns and handling crisis using social networks a plus
- Knowledge in travel, tourism and hospitality is a plus
- Experience in supervising junior staff is a plus
Salary : $68,000 - $73,000
