Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduler to join our nursing home team. The Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling within a healthcare setting and strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
Adjust schedules as needed due to call-offs, vacations, or staff shortages.
Communicate scheduling assignments and changes to staff in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of employee availability, time-off requests, and shift changes.
Collaborate with department heads to meet staffing needs and maintain compliance with regulations.
Utilize scheduling software and other tools to streamline scheduling processes.
Address and resolve scheduling conflicts promptly and professionally.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, union contracts (if applicable), and company policies.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Previous experience in healthcare scheduling, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.
Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
