Position Overview
As a Staff Development RN, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our nursing staff is highly skilled, well-trained, and up-to-date on the latest clinical practices. You will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs, conducting orientations, and monitoring compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement staff training and educational programs to meet regulatory and facility requirements.
- Conduct new hire orientation programs for nursing and caregiving staff.
- Assess ongoing training needs and create annual education plans.
- Monitor staff competencies and provide feedback or additional training as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including maintaining up-to-date training documentation.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify areas for improvement and staff development opportunities.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Coordinate annual in-service training, CPR certification, and other mandatory programs.
