Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as Chief Housing Officer, responsible for mission and vision of a value-added residential learning community while administering all day-to-day operations functions, including staff supervision, administrative functions and emergency/crisis response.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Chief Housing Officer
- Align the Residence Life office with the Student Development strategic plan
- Manage all administrative Residence Life operations, including housing assignments and maintenance concerns
- Supervise two-three live-in Residence Hall Director staff members (2 FT, 1 PT)
- Serve in a team role with Student Development and the student residence life including, including undergraduate Resident Assistants
- Provide direct supervision & management for Residence Hall Director staff including, hiring, training, managing timecards and staff assessments
- Manage budgets and approve expenditures; Create revenue report for Business Office; participate in census bureau surveys annually
- Oversee and maintain Greensboro College ID Cards and Access Control system
- Liaise with families & students and Food Service when issues/concerns arise, assist with food service calendar planning for the academic year
- Liaise with Housekeeping and Facilities regarding operational issues/concerns that arise from parents and students
- Liaise with Campus Security for fire drills, issues in the residence halls, severe weather alerts, judicial cases, etc.
- Coordinate and oversee parking violation appeals committee
Student Conduct Officer
- Conduct judicial meetings with students, serve as the primary conduct officer for serious offenses (2nd charge contempt, drugs) accurately create and manage student conduct files and track statistics for Cleary compliance
- Assign judicial cases to appropriate hearing officers, create folders and assist RHD’s with the hearing process

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Student Development, Higher Education Administration, or a similar field of study preferred
- 1-3 years of progressively responsible student affairs experience, as well as strong knowledge of Judicial Affair, will accept relevant Graduate Assistant work
- Experience in a Residence Life management/supervisory role preferred
- An understanding of food service operations, and demonstrated first-responder/crisis management skills preferred
- Knowledge of student database management highly preferred
- Knowledge of MS office applications
