Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will be ultimately responsible for all recruiting, coaching, planning and management of the Greensboro College Women’s Volleyball program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to the USA South Athletic Conference and Greensboro College rules and regulations
- Adheres to the NCAA rules and regulations and annually reviews new NCAA legislation
- Recruits qualified student-athletes and consistently communicates recruiting strategies and roster numbers to the Director of Athletics
- Submits requested departmental forms in a timely manner
- Organizes practice plans and schedules contests
- Plans and implements team travel arrangements
- Instrumental in player development
- Creates a budget plan, regularly monitors expenditures and exercises budget control
- Organizes equipment and apparel purchases as needed
- Develops fundraising strategies to enhance the overall student-athlete experience
- Transports student-athletes to and from contests
- Coordinates and develops community outreach programs within the Greensboro community
- Fully participates in athletic department meetings and initiatives
- Willingness to be an excellent colleague and steward to Greensboro College
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Collegiate playing and head coaching experience is preferred, but not required.
