The Accounting Operations Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, reviewing, and analyzing testing results associated with procedural outcomes to ensure quality and regulatory standards are met, as well as any contractually required service-level agreements (SLAs). The incumbent is expected to have a deep understanding of collection-related processes and overall GreenSky operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support data entry and record keeping associated with processing merchant settlement transactions, entering data into ERP Workday software, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Generate daily settlement invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding funding and billing invoices.
• Perform bank statement reconciliation, review accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Review and confirm daily funding and monthly calculations and locate and correct errors.
• Prepare documentation and assisting with internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Multitasking ability to work on multiple tasks throughout the day.
• Dependability and time management skills to ensure that merchant settlements are completed, and payments are paid and collected on a timely basis.

Required Qualifications:

• B.A in Accounting/Business Management
• Preferred 4 years accounting experience, minimum 2 years equivalent experience.
• Intermediate experience and proficiency with Microsoft office Suite, Strong Excel skills sumifs, vlookup and pivot tables   
• Workday or equivalent financial application experience
