Position: Director, Compliance
Role Summary: The dynamic and growing Compliance team at GreenSky is seeking a motivated, independent, and driven Director, Compliance to join the team. If you love taking on new projects, coordinating among cross functional teams, and supporting high ethical standards, this may be an exciting opportunity for you! The Director will play a key role in executing projects and driving results related to the Company’s Compliance Management System (“CMS”), specifically those related to Governance, Regulatory, and State Licensing management. The role is well suited for an individual who works well in collaborative and changing environments with competing priorities. This individual should operate well with ambiguity and be a self starter. The Director must be a strong writer with exceptional organization and time management skills.
Organization: Compliance Department; this position reports to the Vice President of Governance, Regulatory, and Partner Compliance
Location: The role is primarily remote, but candidates local to the Atlanta, GA area and willing to visit the office, as needed, are preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, organize, and manage the Company’s comprehensive state licensing program
- Manage state regulatory examinations in the lending, servicing, and collections space
- Create standard documentation to effectively organize customer-facing and financial services compliance materials
- Build relationships among cross functional teams and advocate for compliance goals and objectives
- Oversee, manage, and implement project plans by achieving key milestones for special projects including identifying roadblocks and taking necessary action to prevent delays
Required Skills/Qualifications
- BA/BS degree or similar
- Excellent written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with ease in writing and orally
- Superior analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
- Experience with state licensing and regulatory examination management
- Experience working with a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (“GRC”) or Audit system such as Audit Board
- Experience working in financial services regulatory compliance positions for banks or other financial services companies or similar experience working in a law firm or other legal position
- Comfort with ambiguity, change and multi-tasking
- Ability to work independently in an environment of ambiguity and change
